Thank You Walton & Hersham Fire Station

17th December 2022 – West Molesey
A swan was spotted on the roof of a self storage facility in West Molesey and a member of the public called the fire brigade. So at 10 o’clock on the night of the 16th December Sally attended the incident to help with the swan handling. Unfortunately the swan was not in a co-operative mood and managed to find a very thin part of the roof and settled down for the night, ignoring its rescuers. At that point it was decided not to risk life and limb in the dark and icy conditions. The morning of the 17th the crew from Walton and Hersham Fire Station kindly came back and this time Ian, Sally, Lisa and the firemen were able to safely extract the now well rested swan from the roof.
